Quiet Bangkok: Working Together for a Quieter City

A Quieter Bangkok

Who are we?

Quiet Bangkok discusses a quieter Bangkok, what we think comes with a quieter city and also what you can do in your home and neighborhood.

We love Bangkok and how alive it can be. The feeling of riding down the street on a bike, whizzing past cars on a lively evening; or playing water during Songkran. For us, it’s a feeling like no other.

Quiet Bangkok aims to discuss the little things that we can do to benefit from a quieter home, such as double-glazed windows which are not only great to keep heat in, in colder climates. Feel free to read through our website for such information. We hope you find it useful! If you have any additional tips to share, feel free to let us know.

Do you need advice on how to prevent lots of outside noise at home? In a city with lots of people, there’s always going to be lots of activity so unless you’re in the outskirts, you may be interested in keeping outside noise outside your home. You are welcome to ask us for ideas or to see what we mention on the “Things You Can Do” page.

Who are we? We’re a group of friends that came together to see how we can make a difference. Every city faces different issues and has different priorities for each issue. Living in condos, we faced some noise pollution and decided that we wanted to raise awareness on how we, together, can create a quieter Bangkok for all – including discussing ways that you can keep noise out of your home.

Custom suits in Bangkok are available from Romeo & Juliet Tailor’s House, which is a boutique that’s been around for over 50 years, making men’s and women’s custom clothing. You can get all sorts of garments made here, including dresses, shirts, suits, skirts and more.

If you are looking to purchase nice embroidered fabrics or Indian-style fabrics in Bangkok, then you may wish to check out Fabrica, which is located right across from the Maha Chai Rd China World entrance.

Golden Paradise Hotel is a hotel in Karon with a shuttle service to the beach. The hotel is nice, new and clean. They’ve got a play area and the restaurant serves delicious food. I can recommend them highly.

If you are looking for a budget hotel in Pattaya, then it may be worth considering the Romeo Palace Hotel. A long-standing hotel with its in-house restaurants/bars and a nice swimming pool. Prices are very reasonable.

Landmark Thai Real Estate is a Bangkok-based real estate agency with property listings in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Khao Lae, and so forth. If you’re looking to purchase or rent Khao Lak real estate, it’s worth checking them out.

Khaolak Orchid Resort is a hotel in Khao Lak. Very nice and spacious, with ample parking. Breakfast is also great. If you’re wondering where to stay in Khao Lak, this is it.

So, what is our aim? To raise awareness about noise pollution in Bangkok and point out ways to decrease it, both on a neighborhood level and to keep the noise out of your home.
